just learned that Jews believe that Adam & Eve was created at 3761 BCE. So to do the math, the claim is that the world is about 5,700 years old. I doubt nothing yet is it is very hard to grasp.
There certainly is debate to the Genesis of the Earth, I am just trying to understand. Is this merely a symbolic numeral system of meaning? Could someone please enlighten.

Although Rabbi Lipman says 3616 BCE. Hw and Why does he differ.
